Join us for an informative and engaging CPD event designed specifically for PDIs and ADIs who are preparing for their Part 3 test, looking to strengthen their Standards Check performance, or wanting to further develop their understanding of supporting a wide range of learners.
This unique workshop brings together former DVSA Senior Examiners and specialist guest speakers, offering practical advice, examiner insight, and evidence-based strategies that can be immediately applied to your lessons.
Throughout the day, all sessions will be hosted and facilitated by the Alpha Driving School & Instructor Training team.
Keith is a highly respected instructor trainer with extensive experience developing PDIs and ADIs at all stages of their careers. As an ORDIT Registered Instructor Trainer, Keith has helped countless instructors qualify, improve their instructional techniques and build successful careers within the driver training industry.
Ste has extensive experience mentoring and developing both learners and instructors, delivering practical, results-focused training designed to improve instructional ability, confidence and learner outcomes. His passion for raising standards and supporting instructors has helped Alpha become one of the leading training providers in the region.
Dave is an experienced ORDIT Registered Instructor Trainer with a strong reputation for helping instructors develop effective coaching skills, lesson planning techniques and client-centred learning approaches. His practical, supportive approach enables instructors to build confidence and consistently improve their performance.
Together, the Alpha team will facilitate discussions, support learning activities and ensure delegates leave with practical strategies and actionable takeaways.
Former DVSA Senior Examiner
David has over 30 years' experience within the driver training industry. Beginning his career as a Driving Instructor, he later joined the DSA as a Driving Examiner before qualifying as a Supervising Examiner for Approved Driving Instructors (SEADI).
Throughout his career, David conducted Part 2, Part 3 and ADI Check Tests and played an active role in delivering examiner training and supporting major developments within the driver training industry, including the introduction of client-centred learning and the National Standard for Driver and Rider Training.
Following retirement from DVSA, David now delivers instructor workshops and continues to support PDIs and ADIs in their professional development.
Former DVSA Senior Examiner
Tom has been involved in the driver training industry for nearly 45 years. After qualifying as an ADI in the early 1980s, he spent almost two decades helping learners develop safe driving skills before joining the Driving Standards Agency as an Examiner.
Tom later qualified as an ADI Examiner and spent many years assessing instructor candidates and qualified ADIs, gaining extensive experience of Part 2 tests, Part 3 tests and Standards Checks. Following his retirement from DVSA in 2022, Tom has continued to support the industry as a consultant, sharing the knowledge and experience gained throughout his career.

Dr Julia Malkin MBE has worked within the driver training industry as an instructor and trainer for over 20 yearsDiagnosed autistic, with ADHD, dyscalculia, dyslexia and dyspraxia, Julia combines extensive lived experience with academic expertise, including a PhD specialising in neurodiversity.Widely regarded as one of the leading neurodiversity and mental health specialists within the driver training industry, Julia's training helps ADIs and PDIs better understand and support neurodivergent learners.
Over the last 18 years she has received numerous awards for her work and was honoured with an MBE from the late Queen Elizabeth II in the New Year Honours 2011.
With over 20 years' experience as an ADI, alongside qualifications as a therapist and membership of the Institute of Master Tutors of Drivers, Diane specialises in helping learners overcome driving anxiety and test nerves.
